 Poster: A snowHead

Evening,
I'm headed to Meribel at the end of Jan and want to know where I might be able to rent two monoskis for my friend and me. Does anyone have any ideas, please?
Thanks

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@halibut1, Find a baseball bat. You and your friend take it in turns to hit each other on the hip joint on each side.

Get a Tardis - go back to 1987. All the shops had them back then!

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@halibut1, Maybe try those shops that have been there a long time like Sport Boutique or Georges Mauduit Sports.

Well I was going to make a quip about hiring the widest off piste skis you can find, but you lot are heartless.
Had a great time on a monoski for a day in about 1991, nothing before could encourage me out of the back seat or narrow my skiing stance closer than my shoulders (I know a wide stance is acceptable now). Back seat on skis could be faked, on a mono it simply wouldn’t turn. Forced myself forwards down the scary hill, it turned, I didn’t die, and my skiing was a lot better ever since. If you see where I am now, that might show just how bad I was before. I have time for them.
Though by now I might agree they are a great spectator sport…

You see a couple out every now and then in Les Acrs. Amazingly even on icy pistes.

Loon? Maybe, but I hope you find one anyway. It was a kick for one day. Easy for me then as I skied with my legs glued together anyway. You might fall in the lift line--that's where it was weirdest. Ideally you want some new heavy snow. Report back!
