Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hemel snow centre hotel ideas

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi all,

I'm after some advice. My mates who now live all around the country are keen on our annual meet up being at Hemel Snow Centre this year. We want to stay over and also have good pubs close by for beers and watch the six nations rugby. I am organising but have never been to Hemel (I always go to MK). Could anyone with more knowledge of the area give me some ideas or hotels/pubs close by to the snow centre?

Many thanks

@Macker13, we just stayed at the Holiday Inn Express there on Saturday night. Decent location, not too far from Mount Hemel. Pubs and restaurants close by along the canal. Breakfast included.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

yes either premier inn near the magic roundabout or Holiday Inn Express at Apsley lock.

if Apsley then Paper Mill is a good food pub, Red Lion at Nash Mills or Ronav over the bridge excellent little mediterranean restaurant. Oddfellows opposite Dunelm is a good live music pub.

If Premier Inn, then pubs and restaurant in the Old town best bet, or K2 for indian. the town centre its self around the Marlowes is a bit of a dump.

Slightly left field would be Travel lodge at Maylands. there is some carvery pub onsite, but also a short walk to either the Plough or the Greenman in Leverstock green

you would have to research where was showing the rugby
