Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Some free accommodation for the rest of this week in La Clusaz

I'm currently in La Clusaz having arrived by car yesterday from the UK. I'm in a large centrally located apartment which I was going to share with four other friends of mine who were due to fly out to Geneva yesterday and join me for the week. However unfortunately on Friday one of the group developed significant medical problems and had to go into hospital, so she can't come and the other three who are her mother and two other very close friends of hers wanted to be with her too, so won't be coming either. Sad

So as a result there are now four places in the apartment that are available for any sH to use for free for the rest of the week (vacating the apartment on Saturday 10th January by 10:00 am) and who has the freedom to drop everything and book a flight out to Geneva. There are frequent shuttle services every day from Geneva airport to La Clusaz https://www.aravis-shuttle.com/

Just thought I'd offer this, if anyone is interested please send me a PM message for more details. snowHead

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@JDL65, the pistes are in reasonable condition
Some of the lower runs e.g the blue Les Prises has warning signs about patchy snow cover, in one place they'd put in a chicane with straw bales to avoid a patch of no snow. Weather today was clear and sunny (but cold air temperatures), I don't know when more snow is forecast.

@Alastair Pink, that so sad - for your friends, and for you too! Hope you will still be able to enjoy your stay in La Clusaz.

@Alastair Pink, a different bed every night then? But sadly not in the conventional sense.
