We are staying in Corvara and for the first time our children (11 and 8 ) will not be going to ski school so will be accompanying myself and / or their mum for the day. My daughter is the eldest and has completed the Sella Ronda circuit for the last two years. She can ski reds and some blacks. She and I will ski together mostly.
My son who will be 8 can ski blues and reds that aren’t too covered in moguls.
My daughter and I have skied just about everything in Colfosco, Covara, Alta Badia. We skied Lagazuoi/ hidden valley last year which was amazing.
Does anyone have any recommendations where I can either take my daughter or both my children please for a few hours? Mummy isn’t overly confident and prefers blues and is happy sitting on a refuge terrace whilst we give her a break.

And I thought the only place to find a Mummy was Egypt!!
But seriously...
-Santa Croce white church above Badia. Is the teddy bear restaurant still going? The kids would love that
-Val Gardena/Seceda/La Longia down to Ortisei and back...or just go as far as you get for lunch and then head back
-Marmolada??
-Sass Pordoi for the amazing view
-Alba-Ciampac-Buffaure circuit

If you have a car then maybe Kronplatz? In the main part of the resort has multiple bars on the top of a single mountain with multiple runs off in different directions. Your wife could make herself comfy on top and you could pop into to see her between runs. You can take blues all the way back to the car.
Can also be reached by bus.

Seceda and include the 10.5km La Longia run. There's a frozen waterfall halfway down on the left, the kids will love it. Pop into the Curona Hut on La Longia for refreshments. It's a perfect little hut with worldclass views across to Switzerland.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Lovely runs ‘the Corvara side of’ above Arabba. But at peak times avoid the huge queues at the very bottom in Arabba on popular do the Sella Ronda days. Dead time standing in a herd for an age.

This is the teddy bear resturant, named Tana dell'Orso/Oies, above Badia, but might have closed now, one report says demolished to make way for a holiday apartment building...you had to ski across to it from the piste...anyone else remember it??

Are there particular times when these queues build up? I'm heading to Arabba in two weeks and would prefer to avoid them!

The Arabba lifts seem busiest very roughly 10 to 11:30 and sometimes from about 2:30.
They don't happen every day and we have never waited more than ten minutes in January.
The Dolomitie app supposedly shows where there are delays but I have not had much success with it.
Personally the only place I have hold ups is in and out of Selva and Marmolada both if there after 11:00
