What is the favouite wax for using at places like Hemel?
some of you racers will know...
I'm digging out my dry old Black Stars, for a bit of nostalgic skiing.

They have an indoor specific wax |
That is for plastic slopes, Hemel is real (ok, man made) snow.
DrLawn, just buy a bottle of Holmenkol Beta Mix Red liquid ski wax. I use it regularly at Hemel, works a treat. Takes just a minute to apply, no scraping required. Costs around £25 -£30. Does dozens of applications.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Its not much good on plastic tbh unless it is scrapped back for a race run, it can get sticky on plastic in warmer weather if unscrapped, better value using something harder like 4MATT and not scrapping.
I have used polar x and gx scrapped and brushed for indoors before and it seemed ok to me, it is comparable to a hard snow wax in hardness.
