My trusty ski boots will need replacing if not this season then next. I thought I had a fair idea of what I wanted but now see the rise of the Boa system and am wondering if I should be going this way. I'm expecting a new pair of boots to last me 6-8 seasons so if this is the future I don't want to be stuck in the past but if this is a flash in the pan fad I don't want to be stuck with a gimmick.....thoughts anyone, the more informed the better

It's not the only question...."Two Boa or not Two Boa?" ie. One Boa.
It's supposed to give a more uniform wrap, leading to a more precision fit....but try it and see if you agree.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Us snowboarders have been boa-ing for years. Not a fad but DBL boa is the way to go or single boa with lace lol

Common for years on cycling shoes and seem robust. I have them on one pair. Can't comment on ski boots though

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I've done about 110 days on my single BOA boots and no problems at all with them.

Not boa for me because im a semi luddite with odd shaped feet and like to have the option of uneven pressure distribution on the toe and instep.
