Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Livigno- where's best to hire/demo top end skis (race/piste)

Hey Snowies,

Heading to Livigno, but not taking my older skis.

Would like to try/demo a few/many skis over 3-5 days to figure out what I'd like to buy - I love my fis SL, and my old Kendo (albeit they are too wide for piste)

but looking for some thing just below fis and perhaps a little pedestrian (without going too wide)

Anyone know somewhere that has a huge selection in Livigno?

Zinermann is one of the biggest and has plenty of high end gear. Got my current boots there and they were very good.

I've never rented high end stuff, but my wife has used Vertigo a few times for mid range kit and the process was excellent - brand new kit, they offered swaps with zero hassle and didn't charge us for kids gear. Likewise Sport Extreme.

There are so many hire shops and the standard is very high in general. It might be worth contacting a few ahead of time to enquire if they have what you want.
