Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

There's a regular lunch time falconry show in front of the restaurant in the Nyon bowl (accessable on foot from the Nyon gondola for non-sliders) though from time to time you see them training/exersizing the birds down the blue next to the Raverettes chair.

Am I cynical in wondering what the actual environmental impact of skiing in the valley is? I have to take the "sustainability" stuff with a major pinch of salt when it comes to skiing, but maybe I'm being unfair

I'm always in awe that these magnificent killing machines give up their dignity so readily to sit on some joker's glove but as a guide reminded us when viewing some bald eagles - they are very smart but also incredibly lazy so if there is an easy way of getting food they'll take it. In that context it was begging scraps from fishermen and/or intimidating lesser birds out of their kills.

IT would be good if they could offer a Two Animal Package Deal where you have the Eagle in Front & Bear chasing your tail down the hill... just to put some real excitement in your underwear and something you will never forget Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
