Given they’ve spent more than eur200m I wish they’d spend the extra 10 euros and update all the piste maps to show the upgraded lifts!

White all across the dolomite webcam, good to see! Superficial enough but looks like more to come.

@tekkers, the official Arabba Fodom shared transfers that @albob mentioned is super reliable.
A couple of times we arrived earlier for the BB and booked a private transfer through venice cab with this guy:
[Name] Bogdan Slava
[Work info] Venezia Optim Transfer
[Mobile] +39 392 535 7661
Afterwards we directly booked with him, it was safe and very comfortable.

This is weather related ...
bring my own or rent there?
Staying in Alba di Canazei ( )...
I will ski everywhere and anywhere from there, mid 80's, great skiing ski for Dolomites , metal/weight could be an issue with the right conditions/place
talking about skis, not my age and/or artificial hip ...
In all seriousness - it looks like weather patterns are favoring that part of the alps with near normal snow (pretty) and slightly below temps (fast), "good season" says AI and I !

@Cheapski, the overwhelming majority of days I've skied in the dollies, narrow piste skis have been the best choice. I take my own but when non trivial snow has fallen I've rented some fatter floppies for a couple of days. It's an additional cost but makes the days more enjoyable until the bashers have been over it twice and pristine corduroy normality resumes.
I suppose you could leave the decision very late and make a judgement based on the forecast. Snowy? Take your waterskis. No snow? - rent good piste skis with the option to change for wider skis.

A couple of dry cold days this weekend which should be good for snow making. Then a potentially useful amount of natural snow which will perhaps interrupt the snow making before drier conditions return.
Looks like a perfect set up, particularly if they can get sunny calm weather for opening day, a week on Sunday

Fresh snow and the cannons firing at Piz Sella, I can almost taste the reassuringly expensive hot chocolate at the Emilio Comici.
@Halitosis, Need to find ones for the rest of the SR too.

Winter wonderland in Colfosco this morning...looks like a foot of natural snow allowing for a bit of sinkage and compaction...there'll be more at altitude too...
