1. If you are racing do you need to also purchase a lift ticket for that day?
2. Do you have to wear a racing suit?
3. If the finish line in near Lauterbrunnen is the celebrations also there or back in Mürren?
Hoping to hear any other good to know notes

No requirement for a race suit according to this set of regulations...
@under a new name has done it a few times in his relative youth I understand.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@mikal1988, I haven't done it but have a bunch of friends that have, and they do the "Super Drei" every year. I've only done the Allalin in Saas Fee.
But, to answer your questions:
1. If you are racing do you need to also purchase a lift ticket for that day? - Yes, but you'll get a discount by showing them you have a race entry. This will include more than just the race day.
2. Do you have to wear a racing suit? - No, but you'll be one of the few that don't.
3. If the finish line in near Lauterbrunnen is the celebrations also there or back in Mürren? I believe the base of everything is in Mürren, so that's where it'll all be going on. I don't think the race runs to Lauterbrunnen too often, but don't quote me on that.
I have done it 16 times. It is a lot of fun. Some friends and I also did the other 3 peoples' races (known at the time as the "Super Vier"). I think we broke Davos.
You get a discounted lift pass and you need one on the day.
You don't need a catsuit and if you're not used to one, you might not want it.
There's drinking at the finish although the main party is in the Mürren sports hall, later.
You want to be fit.
Then you can post your own questions or snow reports...

Ahhh perfect thank you @undernewname and @swskiers, I’m waiting to see if I get drawn to enter and will be travelling from Australia to the race.
I can easily run half marathons and ski for 8 hours a day, if I get into the race I’ll be upping the anti on fitness levels to prep.

Called the Inferno as that’s what your thighs feel like after? (Or, by half way!)

Did you get in?
A friend and I balloted and were not successful which I am thoroughly miffed about!
Looking into other ways to get in via one of the local clubs

@P17hae, It's a very popular thing. And local club entries, if Swiss, require (at least last time I discussed it) an adequate number of race "seed" points. My first one in 2001 we just applied and got in. I doubt entries are even out yet?

Ballot results were out last week, that’s how we know we’re not in. We were unlucky as our 3rd team member got in.
And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Wow, I hadn't realised it was so long (or that most of it was a fairly flat path).
