Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Express Lanes Les Arcs

Looking to book the family ski passes for our end of January trip to Les Arcs, is it worth paying for the express lane passes?

The difference for a family of 5 is around €183 overall, so it's not going to break the bank but I'd obviously rather spend that elsewhere if it's not that benificial. We're staying in Arc 1800.

Cheers

We stayed in Arcs 1800 and paid for the full pass as it included going to La Plagne as well. They were useful in the morning as Villiards got really busy, although if you are in lessons you use the ski school line anyway. I think it will depend on whether you will cover the whole of the valley and how many are in lessons.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

The full Les Arcs pass is called the classic pass and does not include the priority lanes. The essentials pass includes the priority lanes, a couple discounts on some things and access to La Plagne should you want to go over the Vanoise Express. The Premium pass includes everything from the essesntials plus some bigger discounts on other activities.

At the end of January lift queues will not be too bad so I think the classic pass is the one to go for. At lifts with priotity lanes the majority of skiers clearly go for the classic pass. Personnaly I'd save the 183€.
