 Poster: A snowHead

My son travelled through Eurotunnel LeShuttle Ashford this morning (16.10.25) and there were no EES checks - neither car nor coach. The new registration and processing hangar wasn't in use.

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

I flew into Geneva on Tuesday, courtesy of SqeezyJet. There are approximately 10 machines just before the traditional booths for non-CH/EU travellers. The process took about a minute but probably didn't cause any additional delay compared with my last trip in May. The rate-limiting step was getting through the traditional passport check because there were only three officers on duty.
They didn't ask me to prove anything: just another fingerprint scan.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Eurotunnel aren’t implementing EES until nearer the end of the year.

French authorities have dropped controversial questions posed to British tourists. That is return ticket, sufficient funds, booked accommodation and medical insurance partly for common sense also to speed up kiosk processing.

also, reported this morning that Eurostar are dropping the 4 questions that need to be asked until April, as anyone answering "no" will be required to speak to a border officer and apparently causing delays

On the other hand, passport control seemed very slow on the way back out. The fingerprint scan seemed to take an age.

I had to go through one of the new scanners a few days ago at a small Spanish airport. No fingerprints as yet but passport was scanned and responded "I was already on the system" (where from who knows) and then did a UK egate type of thing BUT the border man still stamped my passport - however, the process seemed reasonably quick. All very strange. I hadnt got a clue what I was doing as the help lady had taken an EU national off to the correct queue.....
