Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Accommodation in La Thuile

Howdy All

5 of us planning to go to La Thuile at the beginning of March and as well as skiing there and La Rosiere, the plan is to use it as a base to drive to and ski 2 or 3 of the other Aosta valley resorts. Sounded like a great idea when we all agreed it, but we're really struggling to find a decent apartment / accom with 3 bedrooms on the usual sites, or even 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed in the lounge. The ones I've found seem to be almost coin montagne with an extra pull out bed in the bunk area, which as one of the party's snoring causes the walls to vibrate is not really suitable Shocked Very Happy - We need at least 3 bedrooms or 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed in a room itself ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've looked on the ski area website and that doesn't seem to have the "search accom" that most local ski sites do or provide much more info regarding where to stay.

We know it's quieter and smaller than other resorts, but is really that small with minimal accommodation or am I missing something?

Does anyone have any recommendations of where to stay / ppl to contact?

Many thanks

@mauddib, We stayed at La Thuile - Planibel Residence a couple of times in an apartment with 2 or 3 bedrooms and a sofa bed.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

This was somewhere I never actually made it to (we were booked for a break here just as covid hit). One day we may make it there:

I found it a similar issue. Have ended up booking in La Ros instead, as there are loads more options it seems.

We're only planning to ski LR/LT, so the access to other places wasn't an issue. Might do a day back in Ste Foy, but that's fairly simple to achieve from the LR side.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Recently booked a two bedroom apartment at Planibel Reidence for 5 of us through Booking.com. It’s right next to one of the main lifts. £1.5k for mid March
