They've been having major tech problems due to the platform they are on. Skitalk has offered maggots a respite home but there are significant cultural differences there not least over-zealous moderation and the principals being a mouthpiece for "the man".

Had similar experiences - some days can log in others not. Some days when logged in cant read threads other days its possible.
Hopefully will be sorted, as it can be a source of good info, as well as fun reading

As many of you know, the TGR forum has been dealing with some significant technical issues over the past six months. I’ve recently been in touch with senior staff there, and they’re very much aware of the challenges. Understandably, a number of members have had trouble accessing the site and have found temporary refuge here on SkiTalk.
The good news is that TGR will be back—and so will the forums. They’ve assured me their goal is to restore them to the “Gold Standard” that the community expects. That said, it’s going to take some time—so both they and we need to be patient. Expect a fresh site late Summer/early Fall.
As many of you know, @Tricia and I have long been fans and active members of the TGR community—just like many others here who proudly hold dual citizenship. Like you, we look forward to its full return. In the meantime, we’re happy to offer a warm welcome to all the forum refugees looking for a place to talk skiing.

Don’t know who’s responsible for running the site.
The least they should have done is put up a message on their landing page about their “technical issue” and please check back later, rather than just a “bad gateway” which is an indication of a neglected site.
