Hi,
A member of the family is looking to organise a family trip (around 13/14 people) next season but isn't keen on DIYing it.
They would ideally like a catered chalet package with flights and transfers included but seems to be getting frustrated with not finding what he wants.
I know a number of operators have closed over the last few years (post COVID), but I wondered if anyone had a list of current catered chalet package operators, or suggestions of firms that I can put on a list for them at all please?
Many thanks in advance.

@pjl12,
Which ski areas are they considering? What per person price range? Which airport are they looking to fly out of?

Crystal Ski. Discounts for early bookings, two for one ski passes and further discounts for more than 13 people. They will handle the whole thing, even from different airports if needed (IIRC)

Try YSE - Va D’isere specialist, not cheap but we went with them once (on an early season staff training week) and they were banging. I think they’re Gatwick only

I will second YSE. Not the cheapest but worth every single penny. You organise your own fights so a large group need not use the same airports. Transfers available from GVA.

We've used leski several times and always found them to be great. They have a good selection of chalets in Val D'Isere and Courchevel (Moriond and La Tania)

https://www.marmottemountain.com/ Will usually arrange transfer to/from Geneva, high standard of catering from professional chefs, arrange own flights. Tell Jonski that Gordo sent you…

LeSki are absolutely fabulous. They have some ridiculous stat about a high percentage of their guests being returners, which says it all.

For a catered chalet, Ski Beat and Crystal Ski are still going strong. YSE and Le Ski are top picks if you're after something a bit more fancy, especially if Val d’Isère is the plan. Marmotte Mountain’s got great food and transfer options, but you'll handle flights on your own.

Another vote for Le Ski. we have done 3 trips with them and they have all have been great. They handle everything and its so nice to deal with actual people when booking a package holiday! not relevant perhaps for you but the fact you can book just rooms in chalets is a plus for us as its often just 2 of us travelling.

They are still going strong, I think they may be the biggest UK Chalet Company. Only used them once, to St Anton some time ago (2007) Were good then.

Ski Solutions has an allocation of charter flights which they can put together with no-flight-included chalets & private transfers to create a whole package. Expands the options quite a bit, away from the big operators.

We used buildmyskitrip.com for a trip in February just gone. Despite the name they are a legit operator. They are at the skiworld bracket.

If they are dead set on filling a chalet exactly themselves that will narrow the options considerably. I'd also vote for Le Ski - it's many years since we had an excellent "last minute" week with them in Courchev 1650 but the fact that they're still going so long says a lot. We could only afford our mid - January week with them as we booked very last minute. Obviously not practical for a big group.

heidi.com will do it all for you - it’s a clever algorithm rather than a TO.
Alpineanswers.co.uk agglomerate lots of TOs, Google will help you track the TO down. I have used them a couple of times and found them friendlier than the TOs, and no more expensive.

I was interacting and on route to booking with a scam website over the last few weeks.
chlets.com.
I'm sure you will see this advertised on google if you look for chalets so please be aware. It is a scam.
Prices seemed to good to be true and being directed straight to a payment page which included the option to pay in crypto triggered warnings in my brain. Reverse image searched the chalet I was looking at on the site and it came back as a legit chalet but with a different name. I then used chatgpt to look into the business in depth. Long story short: It is a scam.

We have just come back from a week with YSE in Val D'Isere - they were absolutely superb. Yes not cheap - better value in the non-peak weeks like we just did, and you have to organize your own flights but everything else was beyond "spot on" Just need to make sure flight time tie in with their two transfer coaches on the Sundays.

Used alpineanswers a lot as a search engine - have booked through them as an intermediate before or used them to scope out availability then googled to work out who's actually running chalet to book directly.

Another vote for YSE in Val d'Isere.
Just came back from a week there at Easter, having not been with them since 2003 (18yrs old). They were superb. Quality of the food and the hosting was brilliant and they were great with young children.
Not cheap at all, but worth it. You arrange you're own flights, but transfers to and from Geneva are available at £40 ew per person. Their website is an absolute goldmine of information on Val d'Isere. So if you ever go to Val and don't use YSE, then definitely make use of their website!
They also have discounts with ski passes, ski hire and some ski lessons.

Chalet for 13/14 should be pretty easy
Skiworld, Ski Beat are both reasonable price and do a package incl flights / transfers and you can get a chalet for those numbers and have it all to yourself. If you book with Crystal the accomodation will not be a "Crystal" accomodation it will be a s/c or a hotel and anyone in unless you book one accom and fill it . Ski solutions and Inghams do chalets. Mark Warner do one chalet/ hotel which is informal but youd share (its 100 people). For more expensive VIP Ski, Scott Dunn, YSE all meant to be v v good but also expensive. You will need to book early to get one chalet all to yourself but you can then ask for an early booking / whole chalet discount. Skiworld do a chalet in Val d Isre which was run by Ski Val (no longer operating) which has an outdoor hot tub, sauna, steam room, pool table and is next door to VIP ski and half the price ! Think it sleeps 12
