Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I seem to be replacing all my kit at once...

Having skied with the same kit for just over 17 years my boots have finally given up and I've replaced them. The new boots are Technica Cochise and have GripWalk soles. This is leading to a cascading cost explosion as I get an excuse to replace my skis...

Now the problem. My piste skis were Dynastar Speed Omeglass 64 (2004) slalom skis which have an R22 race plate and corresponding bindings. Ideally I'd like to replace these like for like with something like the Dynastar Omeglass WC R22 Factory Slalom Race Ski - 2025 and I understand that I can pair the Look SPX 14 ROCKERACE GW binding with these as the bindings are alpine and GW and are R22 compatible... Probably because it's non-standard to want race skis with GW bindings, and possibly because it's late in the season, nobody seems to have this set up available...

I'm open to suggestions for something that will be as fun and challenging as my old slalom skis and obviously time's moved on since I last purchased..

Suggestions?

@Len Holgate, Ultrafun have a package with the SPX 12 ROCKERACE GW binding. They seem to have the 14 version of the binding in stock as well.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Len Holgate, can't help with where to get the skis, but can say the new ones you want are a great ski, definitely recommended!

Can't help you with where to find the bindings, but are you sure you want to pair a hybrid touring boot in the Coochise with a slalom race ski? That seems a weird pairing.

Fair point, I'm taking a bit of a chance with the boots and if it doesn't work out as a 'one pair for all seasons' I'll likely get a second pair; it's more the fact that I know that I don't want alpine only race bindings.
