Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Last minute 4 nights 5 days

Hey snowheads. So our usual week long annual Easter trip has been scuppered due to work commitments.
However, we might be able to escape for 4 nights / 5 days right at the end of the season.

Two adults two children under 12 and under.
Self drive - travelling Wednesday 16th April Returning Monday 21st April.

Struggling to find somewhere that is open and able to accomodate short 5 days trips from Wednesdat or Thursday.

Anyone have any recommendations please?
Looking at usual L2A, Tignes, 3 Valleys etc. Also looking at St Anton maybe given the dumping Austria is getting.

Help please?

See if there are still any appartments in Les Menuires still open that week and drive up to the Cairn parking at Val Thorens every day?

We had Serfaus lined up for those dates via Sunweb before my work plans scuppered it. We had 1200€ half board inc lift passes at the Vaya hotel for 2ad 2ch- bargain

@Dave of the Marmottes, not been to Les Menuires but heard good things. Is this lift / Link to Val Thorens not open at that time?

It's open at least to Easter Saturday. I think technically the 3V closes on the Monday but you'd have to check.

I know you are planning to self drive but none the less Ive found a useful way to search for resorts that are snow-sure and can accommodate unusual dates is to search on www.heidi.com - plug in your dates and tick the filter for high altitude / snow sure. Ignore the prices which will include flight + accom + transfer but what it does do is show you what resorts fit the bill and which accommodation has capacity on your dates...

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

That's the last weekend here in Zillertal, but there's also the glacier up at Hintertux. You'll find accommodation no issues whatsoever.

So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

Ended up in Japan for work until the 15th April (no skiing).
Was still very temped to travel down yesterday (Thursday 16th) did not go as it was a mad rush.

Looking at the cams in Tignes and Val Cenis today not sure if I'm gutted we didn't go as it dumping down today, or relieved (as everything is closed due to too much snow)?

Gussing I'll have to wait till next season now.
