 Poster: A snowHead

Trying to decide between two places for a first family ski holiday for 8, mostly beginner skiers. Strange duo I know, but which would you pick for skiing in mid-March? Anyone been to both? I've only been to Les Gets, obviously La Rosiere village is a lot higher than Les Gets. Thanks!

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

@charliebobgordon, I think La Rosiere is a cracking place for a first family trip. Lots of easy runs, not too much trekking about with the kids to the slopes - either walkable or using the ski bus. Can't particularly speak to Les Gets' suitability, though!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I’d echo the recommendation for La Ros, from experience (4 weeks).

Les Gets is just too low for late skiing. Most seasons Esprit/Ski Total would stop using the Les G slopes a week or two earlier than brochure.
La Rosiere - much longer season. Consider that the pass doesn't normally open until 1st June.
Currently the La Ros website is claiming 140 cm at village level and 220 cm at 2,800 m. Their webcam gives a good view of "the end of the road" in the village.

Thanks everyone. This is the decisiveness I needed. Looking forward to skiing somewhere new too.
