Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

How long does powder last - Zauchensee

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi All,

Looking to ski this upcoming Monday at Zauchensee. As it looks like most of the snow is coming Saturday and Sunday, will there still be powder skiing options off the piste come Monday? I understand that many European resorts don’t get skied out quickly, but would it be a fair assumption that good pow could still be found directly off the piste on Monday?

Or would powder immediately off the piste surely be skied out Saturday and Sunday as it’s the weekend?

Dumb question I realize, just considering if I should get one last day on the mountain. Would have to travel from Frankfurt

@Tubby1147, @redandwhiteflachau is your man to ask but if you are looking at Zauch I would suggest you put Zauchensee in the thread title rather than be generic. You might attract some locals who know where the stashes are and will be skiing, if you don't know yourself

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Updated the title!

Thank you for the tip! I took your advice the other week I was in SnowSpace and hit up Zauchensee and had a blast!

Based on my experience, you will have plenty of powder terrain left - not many people will ski in April. The only downside of skiing in April is the quick snow transformation from fresh snow to heavy, sticky slush.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@Tubby1147, I'll probably hit Sunday morning to get the best out of it. But there should be some fresh lines to be had in the "Garden" on Monday too. Wepowder is forecasting that the snow wiill continue to fall through Sunday. It might be heavy though.

Exploring shall be had then if I make it out there!!

Wishing I could be there on the weekend but already have existing plans with the gf, don’t think I’d live to tell the tale if I cancelled our existing plans

If the gf doesn't want to drop the current plans for a pow day, you might want to reconsider things anyway! Very Happy
