Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

The week of April 27 to May 3, where to go?

 Poster: A snowHead

Never went skiing that late before this year.
I've done Tignes/Les Arcs/EOSB in mid April in the last years, but my 23 yrs old daughter regained her confidence and interest in winter sports alas in boarding Skullie
So I am basically looking for 6 days with a beginner and carefully slow boarder not very confident but tenacious.
We could return to ValTho but it's the Dutch week and for some reason I'm under the impression the pistes might be both limited and wilder, and falling on frozen reds in the morning might not be the best ideas.
2nd option: Cervinia, anyone done it that late?
Ischgl will have the Top of the Mountain festival that week but I am not sure about slopes condition that late.
Any ideas?
TIA

I've been to Cervinia that first weekend in May. Was a mixed bag weather-wise from sunny and corn snow to white out fog and wet snowfall.

I guess main advantage is there are plenty of mellow slopes and not too many crazies that late.

Ischgl will be open but the condition of the snow is very open to question but is likely to be better than any other non glacier spot. Hintertux or Kaprun? Perhaps go earlier? Not sure going that late with a beginner is ideal

@munich_irish, Hintertux for a beginner snowboarder? No way in my opinion.

@swskier, 6 days at Hintertux is probably too much in any case?

@munich_irish, depends on your mind set? I've skied there loads including on instructor courses and I'm not bored of it, but I'm quite happy lapping stuff to work on my skiing. I'll be back to spending weekends driving up there possibly from this weekend depending on the weather.
