After much agonising whether I really want a pair of piste only skis I finally went for it and splashed out on a pair of Head WC rebels e-speed race carvers!
Brilliant ski! Have had loads of fun ripping up hard icy pistes where others are looking miserable! Recommended.

I'm 6ft* and about 86Kg. I took a 175, which is the shortest I've ever skied. Have not regretted it at all.
I tested a number of different things including some slalom Rossignol Hero, which I didn't like, a pair of Völkl RaceTiger GS, which were good, but finally opted for the Head cos that's what my wife had and she had been leaving me eating dust!
*at least I used to be, but might have shrunk a bit over the years

Having skied alpine for decades, I’ve got most of what I need. So ”new” purchase is only done when there’re items that are worn out and in need of replacement. This year, there’s none.
That, had a lot to do with the fact I didn’t ski a great deal the last couple years. That is, I didn’t wear stuff out lately.
However, the reason that I didn’t ski alpine much has a lot to do with my spending a lot more time skiing cross country! On that front, I’ve been buying stuff left, right and center! Thought even on that, I’ve slowed down… as I’ve bought enough new stuff over the last couple seasons.
So this year, I’m finally buying ONE new item. In fact, just put in the order, prompted by this thread! (I meant to order it, just hadn’t gotten around the place the order)
A pair of Fisher RCS Skate Plus skis is on its way!

Well … this season has been VERY unusual.
What have I bought?
Some annual passes. Nothing else.
What?????!!??
Last year, two new complete touring set ups, new beacons, new touring kit x2, new fleeces, new socks, etc etc etc
What mountain biking kit have I bought this season?
2 transition carbon frames, all the bits to hang on them, new coil forks, new COTIC BfE frame to hang on those, vast amounts of lube, two rear wheels built by True Wheels, two fronts, some lovely DMR camo saddles, shirt after shirt after shirt, socks for me, socks for the Grom, shoes for me, shoes for the Grom, new DH helmet for the Grom, chains, mechs, shifters, hubs, rims, brake pads, two sets of Hope brakes, three 165 Hope cranks, and some zip ties.

went a bit mad this year
Atomic Maverick 95 with Salomon Shift S/Lab bindings (tested last year at Hemmrel with Atomic and Bartlet, very agile ski)
Black diamond Recon shell jacket (lovelly and light for those days which aren't obscenely harsh)
Dynafit beast trousers (these are brilliant)
Black Diamond freeride 35 backpack (superb)
Hestra Arms gloves (to help cure my very cold fingers in January)

@hammerite, bought a lot of champagne, some rather expensive salopettes (Kjus), new ski suit for Mrs Skimastaaah (Perfect Moment), and plenty of ski-memories.

The most revolting ski trousers i could fond after wife complained that i was hard to spot in my tan ones. Also, tan ones are insulated and I wanted shells as days are getting hot. Helly Hansen Ullr D in Iron Oxide. Awful colour scheme. I love them.
Line Blades in 168cm length. Brilliant.
New Atomic boots, Hawx Ultra 120, as my old ones were absolutely knackered. Did some shell adjustments myself, and they were great from day 1 on the slopes, so the brand fit is good for my problematic feet.

Do you like to visit St Anton/Lech? There's someone who likes to post photos of their champagne consumption on Facebook!

KK and Moosershite don't serve up Krystal. Lech is so much more pleasant than St Manton, which has gone to the corporate-dogs and sadly shows that now.
BTW, there's plenty of champagne and fine food to be found in Italy, but please keep this quiet.

I mentioned Lech and St Anton because the guy who shares his champagne photos on the Facebook ski group seems to go there most of the time.

Other than a lift pass, for the first time in many a year, I've bought nothing ski-related, did splash out on an iPhone 16 ProMax for videoing though!!!
Fantastic bit of kit, especially the 5x optical zoom
