Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Forums are an information sources for all. The OP merely gets the ball rolling. As there's no end to the "party", it's kind of impossible to be late to it. rolling eyes

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

La Rosiere is great because , it sits in the sun and gets loads of snow because it’s on the elbow of the Tarentaise valley when the North West storms hit , has lots of good apartment accommodation and now has some decent lift access skiing since the Valaisan lift was built .Howevr to build that lift the station had to sell its soul to Club Med etc that has led to the popular easier areas becoming overcrowded whilst offering an advanced area , good for the stats , that isn’t well used . The best skiing in La Rosiere is on the border with Italy and Mount Valaisan , the runs above the station are pedestrian and samey .
Being honest I love going to La Rosiere BUT for the main reason of accessing wonderful La Thuile , there’s some great piste skiing , super off piste , bit of a snow trap , Heli skiing if within your budget , but more importantly the restaurants especially in town are superb and 15% cheaper than you’ll get in La Rosiere.
So every time someone on here asks shall I go to La Rosiere? I’ll always say “sort of but go to La Thuile it’s better and cheaper “

And now try to add something that actually helps others, instead of vinegar.

Are only positive comments permitted? How is it possible to gain an objective view of anything if non favourable comments are banned. Anyone scrolling through these threads to help make a decision as to where to spend their very hard earned cash, deserves a fully balanced set of opinions and experiences. If we all resorted to nuanced replies such as "I like the resort next door", what chance does the reader have of building any kind of picture? In my humble opinion, there are a host of other resorts which offer more than La Ros whilst sitting in precisely the same cost bracket.

A list with augmentation will not be forthcoming I'm afraid. Cool

Reading is difficult, isn't it?

I did not state you could not critique a resort. But vinegar-only, helps no-one.

You could, for instance, recommend a different resort you like better.
With argumentation on WHY you think it is better.
