Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Cairngorm, Anyone familiar with it?

So the funicular is finally open and they have said the following about tomorrow:

The long anticipated return to service of the Polar Express lift is scheduled tomorrow with the Funicular Railway and Ptarmigan tow.
The team have been busy pushing snow out, with a good run down the Ptarmigan fence line to the Top Station and a direct line through the bowl. Some good snowsports available at the top of the mountain, with easy access to the top on the Funicular.
First train at 9am.

I don't know the mountain at all. Anyone familiar? Is it worth a 3 hour drive up tomorrow?

1 green run, probably about a basher or 2 wide and about 500m long. Snow is probably quite nice.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

If be sure to get there early if you do go. There's no guarantee it'll be open very long before they admit to the next problem and close it for another dode of funding.

Whatever you do, don’t buy a book of tickets for the funicular!

Well let’s be fair, a book of funicular tickets might have somewhat more value than a book of Nevis Range snowsports tickets! rolling eyes

I’ve got a photo of it from today, narrow pushed out drifted snow from the fence basically. And a basher wide track back to the Ptarmigan building itself. Better than nothing , just.

There is a video they've uploaded which shows the runs up the top, to be fair they;ve managed to scrape more snow together than it was before so it's not too bad, but very limited still.

Nothing on the White Lady? Surely not worth a long drive.

@Lewisphoenix, Absolutely not worth a 1/2 hour drive let alone a 3 hour drive. You will have to buy a full day pass for a snotter's worth of snow.
