Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Val d’Isère transfers / French trains / luggage storage

 Poster: A snowHead

Hi all, could do with some info/advice,

Travelling from Paris cdg by train to bourg st Maurice (via chambery to meet someone).
Any recommended apps/ websites for booking trains etc? Can I just use Trainline??

Bourg st Maurice to/from Val d’Isère, what’s the best way to check buses/ buy tickets? And if no connecting buses then cheap transfer company?

Is there anywhere to leave luggage in Val d’Isère if we need to check out of an apartment and want to get some last day skiing in??

Cheers!

There's a public bus from BSM (https://www.altibus.com/ leaves outside the station taks about 1hr normally) and costs around 12e. https://www.altibus.com/ just be aware the last bus leaves at 1900ish and after that your options (I think) will be limited to a taxi, lift or ride share. Also the trains in my experience often are taking on a bit of accumulated delay by the time they get to BSM so would ideally have some contingency to make the last bus if relying on that.

I've used the Trainline to book French trains in the past and it's worked fine. There might be French alternatives with moderately cheaper fees / prices in euro however?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

There’s no such thing as a legal cheap transfer company. It’s a highly competitive market so if a transfer looks cheap it’s very suspect.

A google search throws this up for luggage storage - https://www.valdisere.com/en/village-guide/le-garage-val-disere-en-4041865/ good to know if the sleeper train makes a return.
