@jedster,@RUGBY PETER, read the whole thread. It's Gressoney not VT and the quote for the transfer is clearly shown

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

@jedster, it's not VT it's Turin to Gressoney AIUI and it seems the tourist office have an agreed rate card.
Anyway the thread has served its purpose. It's been established that it's clearly against the sH ethos to try to profiteer off each other and hopefully a marker for anyone tempted to wet their beak in the future.
On the same count no one need be ashamed putting in "it was only 20 dobs" receipts into a tally up because I expect most people don't want a free ride off others (although I will accept a lift from Les Men to Oxalys on the Saturday morning of the EOSB as it appears the valley shuttle doesn't run on a Saturday - France innit? )

Ommmmmmmmm |
Definitely guru material |
Actually there is quite a lot of psychological research behind that (gratitude enhances happiness). One CBT exercise to enhance happiness is to show gratitude to someone you never thanked properly. It makes the thanker more happy! |
For sure. The negativity associated with bearing grudges, considering that others have more and that you are somehow losing out ... is all highly toxic. To be grateful, happy with what you have, concerned that you don't disadvantage others ... that tends to engender happiness.

3. I think it is very unwise to have started this thread. Only likely to cause friction about not very much. If I was the OP I'd ask to get it removed. |
Nah.
To me that's just obviously a "shot across the bow". Anyone thinking about gouging now knows that they'll be "outed" here. They also know that the consensus is that it's an anti-social thing to do. I think that's good for both parties. Gouge away, as the Pixies might say, but understand that everyone will know what was done and how much money made, should it happen. If the price is reasonable, then there'll be no problem with that, right?
