 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Very tragic. I’m not sure if it is a bad year for this sort of incident. Definitely feels like a bad year for avalanche deaths maybe because I’m spending the season in the area most of them have happened.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I think it's just more instant reporting makes it feel more immediate.

That’s horrific, and his parents were there with him and likely saw it happen. So very sad.

That is tragic! In such a beautiful place too, I was skiing there with my son last month, though we didn't ski to the right down the Lagazuoi (front face) piste, we went left down the Hidden Valley (Armentarola) run.
There's never hardly any skiers on it, as most people ski the Hidden Valley run.
Graham Bell skied it a few years back, there was a video, but doesn't seem to be linked to the article now...
