Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Scottish Skiers,

Has anyone got any old piste maps of Scotland they would be willing to donate (or make a good scan of ?)

In particular - has anyone got any a Glenshee piste map from 1980s or 1990s ?
Have a search set up on Ebay for "Glenshee piste map" but nothing has come up;.
Either a good quality scan or if you want to post / sell happy to cover costs.

To get the topic started : I have these ones up on the wall of garage at home:

Glencoe
This is a scan of origianal 1950s piste map.
It predates the cliffhanger chair (constructed 1960).
This is when the ski area was still "white corries". No plateau poma

Cairngorm
Think this is late 70s?
When the ski area, in its full glory, still had uplift from Coire na Ciste car park

Nevis Range
This is a plan from 1988.
Just before Aonach Mor opened for the first time to skiers.

Glenshee
Mid 90s.
This is one I found online...
Would love a better quality scan I could add to the others above on garage wall.

Has anyone got any other piste maps of Scotland?

We used to have a map of Cairngorm circa 1969 showing the Projected Marquis Well Tbar above the Ptarmigan tow. Unfortunately that was never built and I no longer have the map.

Marquis Well could have been good a lift.
I have one in loft of Lurchers gully plans (also never built)
Will. Need to dig it out

The Glenshee map bought back memories of weekends skiing there and staying at the estate hotel (old castle?) at Spittal of Glenshee. Long trek from SE England, generally sleeper to Edinburgh and hire car

Still looking for a Glenshee piste map....
If anyone can send me a 90s paper one I will be enterally grateful

Here is a few more Scottish ones. All of these from Scottish Ski Club guide to skiing in Scotland 1955. Their full set of journals recent scanned and uploaded to the web - a real treasure trove for anyone with interest in Scottish skiing.

https://www.scottishskiclub.org.uk/journals/

An original Glencoe

Glenshee when it was just Dundee ski club running the Meall Odhar t-bar (that was accessed on foot)

Cairngorm (pre ski lifts)

Ben Lawers - Scottish ski club used to maintain a ski tourers hut in the coire.

Ben Gulabin.
The remains of the old tow and pylon still present and make for an interesting short ski tour near Glenshee.
