Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

We were there last week. If you get into the queue by 8:15 am or wait until after 10am it's absolutely fine. However one person in our group joined the queue at 9am one morning and waited I think around 45 minutes.

Yes I agree, we are not long back and ended up driving to different areas most mornings. Low vis days, before 8:15 am and after 10am is ok but because of this I probably wouldn’t stay there again. It looks like they are building a new cable car just near the existing one (not sure of completion date)so hopefully that will improve things.

How is the cable car in Alba by comparison?

@JoeSchmoe, I have stayed in Campitello since 2013 and got fed up with the Col Rodella lift a few years ago ..the queues (and the walk) were awful and generally we went across to Belvedere so I then started to take the bus to Alba and had the choice of 2 short walk no queue lifts ..but get a bus pass from the hotel as they get discounts

Rarely busy. A good option. Campitello is the Sella Ronda on the cheap. Queuing for lifts and an inconvenient location for exploring the larger area. Look elsewhere next time maybe?

The Col Rodella cablecar is due to be replaced by a new 3S lift with double the capacity for next season...should ease the peak time queues...

@Mollerski, disagree with your opinion of Campitello ...it's a very convenient location as you have lots of options...Sella Ronda yes but you also have the ease of going further down the valley to Alpe Lusia and the passa san pelegrino ..and compared to Canazei its so much less frantic
