Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

1:1 ski instructor needed in Tignes first week of March

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I was informed by BASS this morning that with just over a week to go my 1:1 lessons are cancelled. Incredibly disappointed doesn’t scratch the surface of how I feel about this. These were booked months ago…

Anyway this now leaves me needing a replacement. I’m in Tignes for the first week in March and aiming to do 4 or 5 2 hour 1:1 lessons. I’m an intermediate intermediate.

Needs to be English speaking and highly recommended. Any suggestions before I roll the dice with Maison Sport etc?

@munter, try TDC, Gavin Lewis recommended. You probably won't be able to get the same instructor every day at short notice

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

You could also try TDC https://www.tdcski.com/ski-lessons/private-ski-lessons-in-tignes/
or them and others in Val D'Isere, meet at the top of Toviere or somewhere convenient
Only ever heard great stuff about TDC

We had a very good private lesson with Simon at Elevation Ski School in December - https://www.elevationskischool.com/

Used Steve when we were in Val D’isere from TDC. Best instructor I’ve ever had.

You could also try Ultimate - Tommy G or Mikey Larard would fit the bill.

New Gen are also very good. They have a few new instructors I don’t know but if Pascal Prot was available he is very good and so is his English.

Thanks all. Some great suggestions there.

New Gen can give me the same instructor for all the lessons (Pascal) and they match the times of what I had already booked so thankfully a quick and easy swap.

@munter, I hope it works out well, he’s a very funny guy. I don’t get back till the 7th so I only have to hide one night if it doesn’t work out Very Happy

PS Don’t joke about the “Fingers” Couloirs de Tufs. He is only one of 2 people that have taken me down those. I thought I would need a parachute - but then that’s what he does in the summer…..
