Sport Conrad is super reliable. I've bought my current skis at them and no-problem at all.

Hubby's current skis were from Sport Conrad, delivered to French address. No problems with them and they replaced a broken binding a few weeks later, sending it out in just 24 hours.

I have also used sport cobras in the past with no issues or complaints.

I used Sport Conrad last season for some bits. Not skis, but crampons and had no issues.

Husband and I have used Sport Conrad too -for skis, boots and all manner for other equipment. No problems at all. Not heard of Sport Bittl.

Bought loads of stuff from Conrads, and everything arrived quickly with no issues (it helps that it doesn't come far!). This includes skis that needed bindings drilling, and the positioning was absolutely spot on.
I don't think I've ever ordered from Sport Bittl, so I can't compare.

If you use the search function you will find dozens of references to both on here over many years.
With any such retailer you will get the occasional bum review but they have both been in business decades so can't be doing too much wrong.
Glisshop and Ekosport are other places to check out.

Cheers everybody!
I have seen quite a few Sport Conrad reviews on here over the years but like some of the other posters had never heard of Sport Bittl.
Probably will be going with Sport Conrad

@schneeflocke, both are reliable. I bought my last pair of skis from Bittl in Allach direct, but friends have used them for shipping without problems. One guy had them ship his new skis direct to the hotel he was staying in in Austria! On time. No problems.

@schneeflocke, if you live in Schliersee you can just drive over to the Conrad shop in Penzberg. Less than an hours drive. Really nice shop, really helpful staff.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

I've bought skis and other bits off both and not had any issues. Bindings fitted correctly to spec etc.

@schneeflocke, Bittl are well known for cheap ski kit, often last year's models etc. Never bought from them but seen a lot of ads etc. At work we bought skis from them recently which we needed as props and they were the cheapest option.

 You know it makes sense.

|
@munich_irish, what kind of work needs skis as props?

Skis have arrived!
(After having been liberated them from the post office....with the added compmication that DHL had put my neighbour's last name on the card & not mine...)
& are exactly as ordered.
Plus @lampbus, has volunteered to deal with
the DIN settings for the bindings. :

@schneeflocke, Although you obviously need to check them visually (a standard Mark 1 eyeball should do it), if you supplied the DIN values with your order, the skis should be ready to go.

They only put the bindings on. There is a massive sticker on the front shovel advising of that.
At the order stage they only asked whether I wanted the bondings mounted or not. And then asked for sole length.
@Scarlet, maybe sth do to with insurance?
At Intersport they had the same skis & binding combo but would have only supplied them unmounted. They had a mega long blurb about liability etc etc. Would have been 45 E cheaper though.

@schneeflocke, Fair enough. Mine were delivered ready to go, but maybe that's not always the case. It's always better to check them using the actual boot anyway, but if they had the length then that at least *should* be correct. You just need a screwdriver to set the DIN, and knowledge of the correct value of course.

@Scarlet, the last time I ordered skis they also arrived fully set up.
Yeah [b]@lampbus/b], is going to do that for me. I have got the technical acumen of a Hamster - no offence to hamsters .Being realistic if I attempted to do that myself, the results would not be pretty....

Every time I've bought skis over the last few years I've told them just set the bindings to 6.5..7.
No no, we have to do this correctly!
Age? Height? Weight?... 6.5

|
|

Yes but it is ze correct 6.5!
