Will he be shouting "BEND ZE KNEES!" for the full hour, or will there be time for a Q&A?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I've been meaning to message to see if this will be available via a recording as i'll be driving back to the UK at the time. I'll ask on the members IASI group on FB and report back in case anyone else is interested.

Will be interested to see what angle they come at this from. As someone that actually did some biomechanics stuff with elite athletes, I'd say it's rather useless for general coaching. We used to joke "give us three hours and lots of expensive equipment and we can tell you what a good coach can see in 5mins.
You don't need a good understanding of biomechanics to coach, similarly having a PhD in biomechanics doesn't automatically make you a better coach.

@boarder2020, I've been to a Warren Smith talk, the one where he tours the UK every Autumn looking at and discussing some measurements that can help with skiing and how to improve them. It was an interesting talk. I wonder if this will be similar.
One of the IASI trainers, Fede Sollini of Subzero Coaching, he has a very good biomechanics knowledge due to his work outside of ski coaching and it's fascinating to hear him talk about it all. He is specialising in instructor training though, which is probably a bit of a higher level of understanding, but I think there's some validity in it with teaching punters too. Some learners won't be interested, but you'll also get some that a really interested in how the body works alongside skiing. I'll definitely catch up on it once IASI post it online.

I've been to a couple of his talks and this definitely appeals to the more technically minded learner / skier
Much like the members of camera clubs from 'the better the equipment, the better the photographer' camp
