Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Village Montana Les Airelles, Tignes Le Lac

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi, Looking to book a big group trip in Tignes and struggling with accommodation options!

Has anyone stayed in Montana Les Airelles in Tignes Le Lac before. Apartments in that building are 3 bedroom, 1 cabin and private sauna.

Concern is around the bunk bed in the cabin. Montana are saying the bunk beds are only suitable for children but I think they are being conservative due to the room being a tight squeeze not the actual dimensions of the bed itself.

Considering every other budget option in ski resorts puts adults in bunk beds no problem I am trying to figure out can I squeeze two 20 something year olds in to one of these cabins.

Thanks in advance! Very Happy

@Kenzie, 22 but need room for 24 due to male/female split.

3x 8 person apartments in Airelles would be perfect so trying to make that work

Never stayed in the Airelles block, and never in any Village Montana with bunk beds, but....

I have stayed with Village Montana in the Granier block many times (2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartments), the main hotel building twice (2 bedroom apartments), the Vanier? block once (4 bedroom apartment) and the Barillon block twice. They were all much of a muchness and are all now managed by Etincelles, not Village Montana.

The larger apartment (3 and 4 bedroom) seem to have more than enough living room and kitchen space, but the bedrooms are not large - typically two single beds separated by a single bedside table and a single wardrobe for clothes. As I say, never stayed in a room with bunks, but based on the size of normal twin rooms I would be concerned about trying to put 2 adults in a bunk room.

They are certainly better than normal French P&V or Maeva rabbit hutches, but is it not possible to book (say) 2 x 4 room apartments and 2 x 3 room apartments or something similar?
