Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Kronplatz question

Hi

I’m off to Kronplatz in a couple of weeks with my family. We have varying degrees of competency on the slopes! My wife is an able skier but panics a lot and does not want to ski red runs if possible… will she be able to get back down from the top to San Viglio using only gondolas? Looking at the map it seems there might be a small red run needed between the Rara and Col Toron gondolas?

Navigating from the summit of Kronplatz to San Vigilio using only gondolas is somewhat limited. The primary gondola serving this route is the Rara gondola, there isn't a gondola option available for the descent so far as I'm aware.

I know it's easier said than done with nervous skiers as they tend to get 'piste colour paralysis' and would ultimately let the conditions on the day inform any perceived difficulty. How about a targeted lesson(s) for her to try and give her the tools to tackle reds and beyond? I remember many years ago being taught to side slip/skid which is a get out of jail card on any slope.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

It's marked as a blue the other side of the Rara gondola and very short stretch barley worth putting your skis on.
