 Poster: A snowHead
|
Hello helpful ski chums.
We have booked a large group (22) for Corvara next year through Inghams.
They are not offering any discounts on our passes and only a small discount on our kit hire so we are going to DIY.
Does anyone know when next season passes become available on the Dolomiti Superski website? I can’t find that info.
Also, any recommendations for kit hire locally please? We’re staying in Pension Angelo.
Thanks for any help.

Hi, on ski rental, definitely book/pay ahead online, shop around. Last year we used Kostner in the centre of Corvara, very good. I notice Skiset have arrangements with some Corvara ski rental stores, it’s worth signing up now and accepting their emails.
The occasion I didn’t book in advance (due to a fair weather skier) the Colfosco store on the credit card machine tried to put through €390 for one skier’s skis/boots/helmet. That was last Saturday. I won’t name the shop.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Snow&skifan, you should name the shop as a public service

What I will say is give Sport Edoardo or Sport Posch a chance.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

We’re in Corvara, week after next, and were going to use Sport Alfredo (mainly as they are next to our hotel). Any feedback?

@Pejoli, We’ve used them and they’ve been good, if you go for their top two tiers (of 4) the gear is new that season and you can specify the model.

@skiseekers, this year I think it was October but unless it’s a season pass there was no incentive to book more than 2 days ahead as that gave you a 5% discount. Obviously it might be different next season.

@skiseekers, one more thing, I just remembered that a few years ago we used Kostner sport for ski rental via Skiset or another similar site. When picking up the gear the guy said - next year email me directly and I'll beat the price via the aggregator site.

@skiseekers, you don't need to book ski passes until the week before you go. There is a 5% discount for online advance (2 days prior) purchase. In any case, they won't be available for sale until next Autumn.
Are Inghams offering them at this year's prices??

@Luigi
They did make us wait until now but the prices don’t look very different to this year’s given the exchange rate. Do you know something - are the passes likely to take a hike.
Honestly, I could do without the hassle of booking for 22 but there is a good saving to be made if Inghams don’t offer us any discount.
