 Poster: A snowHead

I'm off to Morzine at half term (yes, I know) and just decided to book myself a lesson or two. Unsurprisingly there's virtually nothing left, just the odd hour here or there. Do you think it's worth booking an hour? I've always gone for 2 or 3 hour sessions before. I'm intermediate - blue/ easy reds and on the cautious, nervous side.

IMV. Yes.....but after the first one, if possible, arrange the meeting point up the mountain.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Soozm, it's better than nothing, but your biggest issue might be potential lift queues meaning you spend half your time in a queue or on a lift. However, from Morzine, you could lap the Pleney gondola and get a decent amount of skiing in, albeit you might only make 1 or 2 runs in the whole lesson.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Only if you have the same instructor for each lesson.

Yes, we can achieve quite a lot in an hour, and especially if you can get the same instructor for a second or third hour-long lesson you can practice between and potentially get more out of it than just a single three-hour session on its own. Not guaranteed, of course, but would certainly recommend you give it a go.
As others have said, try to arrange a meeting on the mountain if at all possible, which may fit with the instructor as well instead of having to come all the way down again, but that's obviously dependent on what they're doing with the previous lesson.

Depends on the instructor.
If you know the instructor, by all means. But from the sound of it, you’re taking some random ones and probably 2-3 different ones for those 1 hour lessons. I’d say not to bother except perhaps the first one.

I agree that unless I could have the same Instructor for each lesson - I too wouldn't bother.

I'd agree. A good instructor could pass on some useful 'work ons' in an hour, which could then be practised in your own time.
