Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Snowboard instructor in Flaine

Hi,
I hope the Flaine experts here can give me some advice.

I’ll be visiting during the first week of March and am looking for a snowboard instructor for a couple of private lessons.

Here’s the situation: I earned my Level 1 Snowboard Instructor certification from the German Snowboard Instructor Association about ten years ago. Back in those days, I could confidently ride almost anywhere without hesitation (except in the snowpark). I tackled slopes like Harakiri, Lange Zug, and other black runs without any issues.

However, since having kids, it feels like I’ve taken one step forward and two steps back. These days, I’m aware that my technique isn’t as strong as it used to be. I hesitate to go as fast as I once did, avoid really steep terrain, and struggle to carve properly.

For this reason, I’m not looking for a ski instructor who occasionally teaches snowboarding or something like this. I’d like someone with at least lets say BASI Level 2 or equivalent —a dedicated snowboard instructor who can ride with me for a couple of runs, assess my current level, and provide tips to help me regain confidence and improve my technique.
I know that age makes everything a lit bit tricky, but i know there is more place for improvment.

Can i find someone like this in Flaine?
