With the summer lull in full swing I thought I'd start a thread about new lifts for the 2025/26 season. Ones I know about are:-
Chenus bubble replacement in Courchevel
Villaroger chairs being replaced with a gondola
Cote Brun chair in VT being replaced with a gondola
New Face Nord gondola in VT
Roche de Mio replacement gondola in La Plagne
What else is being built that's on interest?

Verbier<->Savoleyres (La Tzoumaz Sector) Phase-1
A new 10-person gondola from the NW side of Verbier at Planards, up to the Savoleyres summit above La Tzoumaz. Phase-2 extends this eastwards towards Carrefour and is due to be built summer 2026. This will then replace the very old gondola up from the W side of Verbier (by the Chalet d’Adrien) up to Savoleyres.

@stevew, I think Côte Brune is Meribel rather than VT. Either way, I'm surprised they're replacing a windy, exposed chairlift with a mono cable gondola. I hope it doesn't lead to more closures. (The new Deux Lacs gondola was closed due to wind when we arrived for the EoSB, which I don't remember closing for wind when it was a chair.)

10 person gondolas by Leitner and Dopplemayer seem to be the current go-to standard. Presumably because of their year round all abilities access, reliable loading, minimum staff and maximum efficiency, measured by uplift capacity v cost and maintenance. Pleased to see that there are still a few draglifts going in, which must feel bargain basement in comparison

The one they need to replace is the ancient egg carton gondola from the megeve side, it's a wonder it still works

 You know it makes sense.

A replacement lift(s) is being built at Giggijoch, Hochsoelden. The two chair lifts station opposite the gondola station is currently being rebuilt, and some of the towers removed uphill.

The Poutran gondola from Oz up to Alpe d'Huez is due to be upgraded this summer, in time for the 2025/26 season.

Skiresort is reliable only for projects that are formally approved and contracts signed.
Most complete AND reliable by miles

One I noticed in https://www.skiresort.info/ski-lifts/new-ski-lifts/ was the new Nube d'Argento gondola at Madonna. This replaces a horrible old 2 man chair that was so so slow. It will open up a couple of nice runs to more repetitive skiing and make the area more accessible from Camp Carlo Magno beginners area

Cote Brune and Face Nord both good developments for the 3V IMO.
Hopefully they will fix Caron in time for next season too.

Hmm, I'm concerned that Face Nord will lead to Lory being busier, which would be a disappointment. It's a beautiful run but one of the real joys is the feeling of isolation.
I'm also concerned (as I said above) that putting a mono cable gondola, rather than a seemingly pretty wind resistant chair, might lead to Cote Brune being closed more.

Trysil (Norway)
"SkiStar Trysil is investing in the skiing experience and will have a new, state-of-the-art gondola next winter. The Trysil gondola will be 2,406 meters long and have a capacity of 3,000 guests per hour. It will be ready to transport guests from the children's area Eventyr up the mountain as early as season 25/26."
For those that don't know the area it will link the bottom area (which is the main kids zone which has 2/3 drag lifts up out of there) with the main ski area for those who don't need the beginners area. So basically brilliant for parents who have dropped their kids off at ski school..
