 Poster: A snowHead

I'm going with a group in a couple of weeks and staying in the Berger sporthotel, can anyone recommend a nearby hireshop that would do a good (cheap) deal on ski hire 0r group discount (probably 12 pairs?)
any way to get a cheap lift pass? (seems to be 405 euro for 6 days) or group discount for 18?
cheers
Mike

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@mikeg2, best way to get a cheap lift pass is to be younger than 18. Alternatively, become a fully qualified instructor, and then you'll get a discount too.

@mikeg2, for ski and boot hire go to Hansi’s Best-Price, a short walk down the main village street from Bergers Sporthotel, next door but one to Bobby’s Pub (on the right at the bottom of the street).
It’s now being run by the lovely Elena Dante, Hansi’s partner, following Hansi’s sudden and very tragic death just over a month ago. However it’s business as usual (just no Hansi), and it’s a small independent business, which prides itself on friendly, personal, expert service, with competitive pricing. And the equipment is all good.
And you will be given an extra discount if you tell them I recommended you to go to them.
Message me if you would like a copy of my information about Saalbach, including my own comprehensive guide.

@mikeg2, does it work out cheaper if you buy 20 anyway?

Nope, it's a 5% discount so one ticket in 20 is free - e.g. assuming they're all adults at €405 for a 6 day pass, 20*405 = 8100 minus the 5% discount of 405 means you are paying for 19 tickets, and you get a 21st ticket thrown in free. If you had a ready buyer for 3 tickets, it would definitely be worth it.
