Hey guys.
First time booking spring skiing, is Avoriaz 1800 a good option for April 3-9th? Will upgrade the ski pass if needed.
Also how is the Apres & nightlife there? Only skiid once in France.
thank you!

@nba2005uk, Avoriaz doesn't exactly have huge nightlife. There's a Folie Douce bar for apres, and a handful of restaurants, beyond that, not a lot there.
Personally i'd stay in Morzine and travel up via the Prodains lift every day, but you might not want that faff.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

If you want anything other than dinner to happen after 6pm I'd second staying somewhere central down in Morzine and either catching the Super-Morzine gondola/dull green run across or bus to Prodains to ski each day.
Avoriaz is a great resort...for families with younger children, but then families tend to have a couple of drinks at the end of the day, then home to child wrangle/food/bed/adults have a few more drinks in the apartment.
Morzine is also good for families with young children but also older children and adults. As a result there's drinks at the end of the day and most of the way through till Opera closes at 5am, if you want.

Skiing at that point in the season should still be very good. Personally I wouldn't want the daily schlep up from Morzine every day, but it does depend on your nightlife preferences, sure.
Normally I would expect the whole of the PdS to still be good, with the possible exception of the Corbeau area between Chalet-Neuf and Morgins, so a bus connection may be needed if you wanted to do the whole circuit in one day.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

We’re not after Ischgl or Val d’isere levels of nightlife but at least a few bars to alternate til 10pm-2am occasionally, is that realistic?
The other option we had was Alpe D Huez but this looks similar to Avoriaz in many ways?

I stayed in Avoriaz in mid April last year (with Family). Snow was good for that time of season (despite some warm weather) meanwhile Morzine and Les Gets were looking very green/brown in comparison - not even sure what runs were open - but you can always get the prodains lift up to Avoriaz.
During the season Morzine will certainly have way more Apres/Nighlife but Morzine season closes 6th April so it might tail off a bit? That said there will still be people staying in Morzine and accessing Avoriaz slopes - I think the busses still run but worth checking...
As other have said, if you want convenience and less snow risk, stay in Avoriaz - there isn't loads of Apres/nighlife but the Folie Douce and a few bars might be enough.

How about Les 2 Alpes for that time of year?
Glacier skiing. Good nightlife. The new Jandri lift is a gamechanger too - all the way to the top in 17 minutes and no big queues.
