Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Obergurgl last day for nervous skier: what to do?

 Poster: A snowHead

Hi everyone! I’m here with friends, and today is our last day.

I’ve been skiing with an instructor and now feel comfortable going down to the base on piste 6 from the Hohe Mut mid-station. My favourite so far has been the short run on piste 4, starting from Bruggenboden.

We tried piste 6 on the Rosskarbahn, which I found manageable, but unfortunately, my badly custom-fitted boots caused so much pain that we had to stop and head for the mid-station.

I’d love some recommendations for today. I don’t want to challenge myself beyond my confidence level as I’d like to finish the trip on a positive note. Runs where I can take it easy, stop when needed, or take shortcuts would be perfect. Also, I noticed that section 27 in Hochgurgl, which was previously recommended, seems to be closed.

Thanks in advance for any advice on pistes, and happy skiing!

Don’t do boot buckles up fully?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Yeah, it seems to help but I’m always in agony for the first couple of runs. The outer side of my feet gets squashed so badly. I’ve also been to the shop here a couple of times and what they did to them helped a bit.

I rectify my message. 27 is open. This was some previous advice:

“In Hochgurgl from Wurmkogl 1 chair on blue 26 you can avoid the steep bit I think you mean by going right on blue 27 just before steep bit. this is then very flat going right then left back to the bottom of the chair. “

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

From/to the motorbike museum side, get there by the free bus?, Hochgurgl runs 20a, 21 and 22 are wide and flattering.

Without the steep/churned up final metres of the run next to Top Hotel Hochgurgl.
