Thinking of getting a Ski A La Carte card for Les Arcs rather than a 6 day pass. I think although the day rate is discounted with the annual fee it works out about the same price, but if we don't ski every day it would be cheaper.
Does anyone have any experience of using this card?
Are the prices/day on the website fixed or are they dynamic pricing (if they go up the 6-day pass would be cheaper)
Does anyone have a discount/referral code?

@skimummk, we've used before, the prices are as on the website, it doesn't change. No child discounts for the prices though.

I've been using it for years, partly for the convenience - if I go to e.g. Tignes (which it also covers, along with others) for the day, no need to queue at the lift pass office - and also because I generally don't ski every day (whiteout etc). Also, if you're doing more than one week over the winter, days 9, 14, 19 etc are 1 euro. If you're not going to need it the following season, remember to cancel.

Do they deliver the card to the UK? I did not get this option when I signed up, so I'm assuming I have to pick up at Les Arcs.

@koru, I think they delivered mine, but I've had it a few years now. This is probably the third winter. We used to buy season tickets with an early bird discount instead, but that just doesn't exist for Serre Chevalier now.

As we are going next week we will pick them up at plan peisey - just hoping our flight isn't delayed so that we can get up there from peisey nancroix before the wee lift shuts.
I found reference though to referral codes which give the current member a 6Euro credit and new member a 5Euro discount - so if anyone is a current member feel free to let me know your code.

@skimummk, let me make sure I've got one in my account and I'll gladly share, but not sure if I would need to be a Les Arcs pass holder for the discount, not Serre Chevalier. I think I tried it last time.

They haven't given me a referral code, but perhaps that's because I haven't picked up the card yet. I was hoping to use it for the other 4 people in my party, but it looks like I won't be able to.

@koru, If they’ve given you online access to your account you can add other people using your account. I can’t see any special discounts though but that might appear when you actually add somebody

I don't think there is a code, I think if you sign up as a new member, you have to give the other person's email which matches it to an account. Adding another person to your own means you would be paying for their passes.

Ski a la carte works great, especially for skiing a variety of resorts.
If you can't find anyone with a code, a trick is to buy one for a person in your group so they get a code. Then on a different order, apply that code to everyone else. I've also been able to find codes online in the past too.

I'll have a hunt - husband just pointed out we might as well wait till next week to buy it as that gives us an extra week next year that we might use it before it renews to take advantage of the 2nd week discounts

@skimummk, it renews at the start of the next ski season, not 1 year from your first subscription.

 You know it makes sense.

I've used it this trip as I'm recovering from illness and wasn't sure how much I'd ski. Have found it great, really easy to use and no guilt at taking a day off & wasting a paid lift pass day

Want to do this for 3 days skiiing starting in Val Thorens next Wednesday then 6 days the following week in Les Arcs. But only just realised that the card can't be picked up in any 3 Valleys resorts. That sucks.
Anyone know of a workaround?

My email confirming the subscription said "Unless you request otherwise, all subscriptions, and Carré Neige Liberté insurance where applicable, will be renewed automatically on 28/12/2025."

If you are passing through Bourg St Maurice on the way to VT, you could pick up the pass at the Les Arcs mountain railway base station. If you have wheels, could you pick it up at any of the other resorts, on the way?

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately I'll be on a bus transfer to Val Thorens with correspondence at Moutiers. Argghh...so frustrating!!

It might be worth emailing them - I think I read that if you order it by post and it doesn't arrive in time you can pay 10 euros to get a card - not sure if it will work for Val Thorens though - the alternative presumably is to somehow get to any one of the other resorts (not necessarily Les Arcs) where you can pick the card up.

Good point - it does seem to imply that’s possible.
But fine print says it’s not possible if nomination the 3 Valleys as the “heart” (home/favourite) station when signing up for a la carte. So need to avoid that.
Might give it a go: worst that can happen is I burn 29 Euros. Best is that I save cost of a day’s skiing in Les Arcs and potentially other savings.

Also, anyone know if you get the Les Arcs advantages of the Essential Pass with the a la carte? Express lanes and discounts on the zip line etc?

@doddles, unfortunately, no Ski a la carte is at the bottom rung of the pass options.
However, should you decide to use it to go to La Plagne for the day, you don't get charged twice - they just include the uplift cost of crossing the Vanoise.
Like many others, we've used it successfully especially when using multiple resorts, or, anticipating a few days off. Indeed likely to use it this winter too. But as above, for us it has always terminated / renewed during October, not at the anniversary date of renewal. So if you are not using it the following year, remember to suspend it. The physical card remains associated with the account - we've had a couple of years off and then restarted, and the passes worked as they should.
The biggest disappointment is that the 'countdown' to special days at €1 resets each season - no cumulative savings from year to year. A small price to pay, but worth remembering.

I checked the T's and C's and the renewal date is 12 months after you buy it for this years pass, but if you had a 23/24 pass it would have auto renewed in October.
So - the question is - just how close to picking up the pass can I buy it if I am collecting it in person?
Has anyone bought one same day?
