Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

A snowHead
Hi there, just a quick question. We are staying in Arc 1950 and plan to head over the ridge tomorrow to 1800 etc. Which lifts would bring us back? I know about the Transarc but I’m struggling to work out which others from the piste map. What about Carreley?
Thank you!

Clochette, Arpette or Carreley
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Clocheret is very slow and gives you a choice of black Comborciere or red Secret, which I've always found rather icy. Arpette and Carreley give you a gentle run back down to 1950.

To get onto comborciere from clocheret you have a small climb up from the base of mugeret.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Thanks all! Sounds like Arpette and Carreley are our best bets. X

While I acknowledge
@Layne's
, statement about Secret, We used it more than anyother route this Christmas to get to the 2000 valley. The snow on it was excellent (this time) and there was almost no one on it. IMHO it is easier than Lac and I'm not fond of Eidelweis. We only used the Transarc once and that was because it is new.
This may have something to do with starting in Arc 1600.
