Lots of snow in Borovets at the moment
Does anyone know if there is a full avalanche bulletin for Borovets or Bulgarian resorts published online?

The only thing I can find is the general avalanche warning level (scroll down below the weather forecast), but as it is currently showing as level 5/5 and all the lifts and pistes are apparently still open, something doesn't seem right. Bulgaria is not listed on the EAWS system and the only other website I could find hadn't been updated since 2020
You could email the Borovets tourist board from their website and ask them if they have any resources?

I thought exactly the same ... 5/5 and all lifts open doesn't add up. Have been on piste this morning and might dig this afternoon to take a look at the layers. Not seen any obvious signs, slips etc. Will definitely find and ask in tourist office later.

Outside gondola it says general condition is 2/5 while resort website linked above says 5.

I see that the lift Markudjik 3 is closed. This is one necessary to access the usual off piste routes, and that they close when the avalanche risk is high. There has been masses of snow and very quickly, so it makes sense that the risk is high.

Thanks for all the replies. For anyone who finds this thread with the same question, at the time of writing there is not a proper avalanche bulletin. Apparently the resort typically just keep it at 5 on their website all season to minimise their liability so it is meaningless. This is what I was told by a guide I skiied with, plus we dug a small pit. Currently in Borovets the snowpack is generally very stable, although it is due to warm up so that may not be the case for long. Also the tourist information (adventure centre) separately confirmed there is no detail or reasoning behind their rating.
The was a general rating of 2 on a board outside the gondola which was consistent with observations and discussions, so if I were to go again I would look there first.
Separately I was impressed with the range of off piste options in the area including some challenging and interesting lines.

Oh and another piece of the puzzle, apparently the usual reason for the Markudjik 3 lift being closed is short staffing of lifties, so you can't read into that.
