Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

@MDS28, Welcome to Snowheads. There is a vast array of restos in VC and some are very top end. If I go there from Lac it would be to L’Armoise which is very Savoyarde, but it’s very good and the 3 course set menu is v good value ( for the Alps) it would work out at about €45 with half a bottle of wine each. The Couloir is mid range ‘posh pub’ grub for a more anglicised vibe. Daffys Cafe - a Mexican is always good. If you have a spare mortgage Table de Jeanne - well into 3 figures without booze. Bon Ap!

Le P'tit Savoyard is very pleasant - nice food and decent value. We had giant (& very nice) pizzas last week at Dahu, near Tufs lift. It's a lovely rustic place. Pizza 2000 is decent enough too.

Le Caveau (which is indeed a bit of an underground cave) is quite quirky. Nice food but, towards the pricier end of things.

And I'll second @chocksaway's recommendation for L'Armoise. It's always decent and prices are reasonable for Tignes.

2 Flocons is small and family run with a limited but tasty menu - very French and reasonably priced.

I ended up going to Table de Jeanne one night with a random group who I had met on a UCPA trip so very much on the budget end of a holiday.

It was about 60-70 euros for a main, desert and my share of the wine but it was worth every penny. The service and food was amazing, the main was one of the best dishes I have ever eaten.

So definitely worth it for a fancy night out but don't forget to bring the wallet.

@MDS28,
Does it have to be in VC? There's a free bus service that gets you to Lav & Lac.
