Booked last minute to Geneva and thinking of Val T or Tignes for best range of runs for three days skiing - expert level
Problem is that weather forecast is now looking like it will be heavy snow for at least two of the days.
Any alternatives? Not bothered about off piste.
Thoughts?

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

I wouldn't be overly concerned about the forecast at this point.
No difference between Val T or Tignes.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

You’ve got a better chance of picking lottery numbers than looking at an accurate 10 day forecast in the high mountains in winter. Either resort does have options to go lower in the larger domain. But Les Arcs would be another good option.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@snowscot, looks like plenty of snow out there, so less of a need to go super high. Les Arcs would be a good option

@snowscot, Can you not just wait until the day before until you book accommodation and base it on the up to date weather forecast? There will be plenty of availabilty midweek in one of the quietest weeks of the season.
We've just had 3 days in Val d'Isere and the snow is great. We're off to Val Thorens on Wednesday for a couple of days then start in La Plagne on Saturday so could give you an up to date report then.

Tignes - having spent 20 minues walking around Vd'S the other way looking for somewhere for lunch that cost less than a meal out the night before in Tignes!
If the snow's really heavy everything will be shut for avi. risk anyway, so might as well be shut in somewhere the food and drink's a little cheaper.
If the snows OK but wing high, so links closed we did that for the first 2 days of the PSB without getting bored.
If everything's great you can easily ski across to Vd'S.
And guessing if Tignes/Vd'S getting heavy snow most of the weatern Alps will get it too.

Hotel accommodation in Val T is scarce due to Val T having the most terrain open. Leaving it later might stuff me for value for money and I don't want to pay through the nose.
Similar costs in Les Arcs and La Plagne but nice accommodation. I personally love Val T and Les Arc/La Plagne (although not much info out there for snow conditions). Webcams look good in all areas. Tignes and Val T definitely suffer from poor viz when it is nuking it down
