Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

*cough* four... but the bikes were fine, which can't be said for the rack... or the roof.

Passed someone on the hard shoulder of the motorway a few weeks ago. Kids bikes and roof rack several yards behind them on the road. I think it was just after one of the named storms so I'm guessing fittings loosened by the winds. We had our first roofbox damaged by winds when on the way to a SoPi bash. We travelled to Leeds with an empty roofbox and picked up several pairs of Whitedot skis to take for demo. Winds were high and the movement cracked the plastic.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I caved in.... moved back to an earlier crossing and paid the £70 for the roof box for both ways.... the missus wasn't entertaining us just rocking up and chancing our arm on getting through.

If a good recommendation for bike rack of interest, a "Saris bones" is one we've found particularly good.

Only owned one of these (but have used others) but now 24yrs old and with absolutely nothing failed or broken.

It'll take three bikes, we've had three DH often on it (they are one of the most awkward with tight space around their frame triangle, and with suspension component in that space too) but with anything less complex and lower in weight easier to use. We habitually remove pedals though, as they are close mounted tomeach other but don't cantilever too far out from car.

They can be oriented to fit any car body shape, moved higher or lower as it suits what you need.

Slightly skeptical when buying originally as significant plastic in construction. Exemplary though in practice, no additional fixings ever used, they have load+side+tension to fix and restrain the rack etc. Just a virtually perfect product and very extensive use by us on short or long distance and any legal speed. Unusual to find something like this with no real problems.
