Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi ya
Anyone out there know of any discounts available for Avis car hire? I've signed up to 'preferred'.
I'm in the unenviable position of flying in to Grenoble in March and need a car for 2 weeks. As there is no competition for car hire they are charging the earth.... But I can guarentee one with winter tyres!

Sure I saw a cashback via Halifax clarity credit card for Avis. You may even manage to stack that with a quidco one if careful.

I’ve found car rental in general (including Avis) is about 50:50 on actually paying out cashback via Quidco.
Best place to look is on flyertalk. However beware that lots of discount codes have membership requirements (e.g. being a member of AARP, or Amex, or employed by Microsoft etc). Avis has never checked any of mine but if it was to check and I couldn’t prove it, the risk is that I'd be charged full walk up rate.

Get an Avis Wizzard number. I am in the USA and when I sign in and use that and my auto club discount code I get a huge discount

Book car hire in the centre of Grenoble. Lots more options and far better prices. Take a taxi or bus from the airport. Has the additional benefit of no/smaller queues. Easy taxi back after drop off at end
