.I seek advice on working in a resort during the ski season. I am finishing University at Christmas and have just landed an exciting work/career opportunity starting May 25. So, I hope to do a ski season before starting my career. I know that I am pretty late to start looking for a position, but I hope somebody here can point me in the right direction for a job where I can get in some skiing
I have previously worked in various roles, interfacing with tourist clients and smoothing the issues that arise, which I have enjoyed.
Male, 23 years old, EU Passport holder. Competent Driver 5 years, full clean licence, Strong cooking skills. Near Fluent German, Willing to do a wide variety of work provided I can get time to indulge my passion for Skiing.

Are you looking for a role where the employer offers a package (ie some or all of :- accommodation, food, lift pass, insurance, kit hire, travel to & from resort ... Oh, and some money)? Or just a job, and you'll be sorting the rest out yourself?

There are usually lots of gaps to be filled due to injury, etc. Apply to all travel operators and say you are flexible is best last minute option

@barrworst, if you fancy the Zillertal, there's a facebook page called Jobs im Zillertal and Jobs in Mayrhofen, you could ask on there, it's quite possible that some places are still looking.
In fact, Jobs in Mayrhofen, there's a post from yesterday for Stefanie Alpenhotel saying they're looking for a waiter/waitress.

Forget looking at Tour Operators. There is a huge shortage of staff in the hospitality and tourist industry throughout Austria and literally thousands of jobs available, particularly for someone with an EU passport and reasonable German language skills.
Look at the official Austrian jobcentre website (www.ams.at) where almost all jobs are advertised.
Most hotel jobs should include accommodation and food, other seasonal jobs will also come with a room, and such is the shortage of candidates that it should be possible to negotiate hours so that there is time to ski. The best jobs for skiing time are evening jobs in restaurants (kitchen help, dish pig etc) or at the apres bars and nightclubs.
