The final Men's and Women's World Cup Downhill of the season due to be held today in Sun Valley have been cancelled because of high winds.
Hopefully tomorrow the Super G will be able to take place.

Always sad at the end of a season, already thinking what I am going to watch now at weekends ( I know the season finishes next week but I am away)… really glad Brignone won , she picked at 34 which is quite an incredible result. Could be wrong but the next seasons will belong to Emma and Franjo, they are so talented , finally Marco has competition and we need that , he has been too dominant in the last few years.
Not skiing related but in biathlon Mr Boe retires today , such an amazing athlete still don’t understand why he cannot do another season, I am still hoping he will reconsider.
until next October winter sport fans, really looking forward to the Olympic Games and finger crossed Billy will continue to progress, he has done really well this season

Lara’s SG run was astonishing, destroyed Brignone who’s been the best women’s skier this season. Maier-esque with the time differential.
Amazing to see Vonn’s result, justifying the comeback.
What a fantastic season across both the men and women, it’ll live in the memory.

Horrible conditions at Sun Valley, 14c. Whilst relatively nearby towns in Idaho and Montana are in the mid 20c’s just now!

This weather is just insane, really a shame--and a surprise. Many of you may not be aware of the fact that The Valley is notorious for being really cold.
Weather is changing. Tonight there is a 2-4% chance of a tornado in Seattle, a forecast I've not heard in my 68 years of living here (though we've had a couple).
Lara's run reminded me of Zurbriggen....looking like they're headed for the fence several times, but somehow getting it to the house. I thought she was done a few years ago; cool that she's still bringing it.
