Poster: A snowHead

HI, Wondering if anyone uses Airalo for data and calls abroad looks like a neat solution but seen mixed reviews. Is it any good or would you recommend a different esim?
Thanks

I've used them loads and they have been excellent, but I've only bought data packages.
If you expect to make (non-data) phone calls and/or texts abroad, then you might want to find something else or look at their Global eSims.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Just back from a trip to Canada/USA and used Airalo and couldn’t fault it.
I’m back in the US next week and plan to top it up and use Airalo again.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I always use this when I go abroad (outside of the EU) and it has always worked great for me. It's also less faff than buying a sim at the airport (although you need your passport when registering when you have arrived in the destination), and often a competitive price too compared with buying a local sim.

You'll need to Register first of course.

Works perfectly for me whenever I have to go to a country not covered by my roaming contract - I have only ever used their data package, and take care to only use data phone calls

Used it in the Caribbean, simple to install and much, much cheaper than roaming. My supplier doesnt charge for incoming calls when roaming and IIRC it was relatively simple to configure my iphone to use my normal Line for incoming and the Airlo for all data.
